Fashion Pulse Flash: New from NARS, Cetaphil, Jane Iredale, more

If you are one to shy away from gloss and love the matte lip look, Shien Cosmetics is where you will find your happy lip place! The brand’s debut collection, dubbed “Viper’s Dream,” is a line of highly pigmented shades, including ingredients common to Chinese and Japanese herbology such as white camellia oil, green tea extract, and red algae extract. After testing the lipsticks (see me, here, in Viper’s Dream), I found that they provided the matte texture achieved by filling in with a lip pencil, coupled with the convenience and rapidity I prefer in a lipstick form. The silk matte collection features eight shades at $18 each, which will certainly be a welcome addition to your statement lip color assortment.

Continuing along with my new love of matte beauty products, the NARS Matte Multiple has the most opulent and fabulously buildable, long-lasting, and of course, hydrating color for lips and cheeks. I’ve been using the rose coral shade of Laos non-stop, however there are six other gorgeous shades to choose from — Anguilla (ginger pink), Exumas (pink apricot), Siam (poppy red), Altai (rose bronze), Vientiane (copper bronze), and Cappadoce (golden bronze). The Best of Ted Baker for S/S 2014

For spring 2014, I concur that you will certainly want to “get in on the act,” as its campaign suggests, with apparel and accessories by Ted Baker London.

I attended the collection of an assortment of printed, pastel, and neon apparel and accessories for men and women set to a vaudeville circus theme, complete with performers on stilts, contortionists, jugglers, a big band, and of course, cotton candy. The lively background provided an even more jovial and joyful interpretation of the lineup, which boasted colorful pocket squares and personality-infused blazers for him, while statement clutches, shimmery jewelry and must-have leather or boucle biker jackets made up the assortment for her. Other favorites include muted floral prints, gem toned satchels, and softened yet rich navy for him.

Pair it with This: Malachite Delight

Growing up, I couldn’t take my eyes off of my mother’s oversized malachite flower vase, whose protruding frame stated its deservedly centerpiece stature on the bureau in the entrance way. The rich striation of color and polished finish only added to its regal, opulent appearance, quietly demanding that an abundance of flowers make its way into as often a s possible.

This lovely, opaque in hue copper carbonate mineral of copper has been around forever, and although its been used as ornamental decoration for thousands of years, I’m getting a very strong trend-forecasting intuition that it is on the verge of having a HUGE fashion moment. Above, are some of my favorite pieces which include the mineral, ranging from a subtle accent of it to a more angular and organic iteration. Below, I’ve styled it with some great pieces that will lend a complimentary pop to the vibrant hue. Will you wear a piece of malachite jewelry? I sure hope so!

Beauty Tuesday: Nuance Salma Hayek New Skincare & Haircare Launches!
