Growing up in Alaska, where the sun shines until the wee hours in the morning, I spent most of my childhood summers outside. I remember running away from my parents when the topic of applying sunscreen came up. It felt like a chore and I detested it. Now, I realize how important it is to have the best possible protection from the sun. The summer months are here and it is time to educate our children on sun protection and get in the habit of a SPF routine.
Inspired by his 2-year-old daughter, Andy Gershon, a music industry executive and the creator of Sunbow Sunscreen, developed a fun, creative way to encourage children to apply sunscreen. The paba-free, hypoallergenic, and safe zinc oxide formula sunscreen adorns Nickelodeon characters on the label, such as, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Squarepants. Children will love the way the lotion, sun stick, and spray ($7.99-$12.99) are mess-free and will go on with bright pastel colors, but will dry clear. Children will be happily sun protected and parents can be worry-free!

As one who has never been afraid of prints, Suno truly appeals to my colorful and bold side of dressing. The brand, which started just in 2008 by Max Osterweis, inspired by his Kenyan textile collection, the brand continues to bring the garments full circle from the original sentiments by employing expert Kenyan tailors to execute the designs. Enjoy my top picks from the resort 2012 collection!

Did you JUST realize Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19th? Don’t worry; there is still plenty of time (pun intended) to get Dad an ultra-hip, fashionable gift, like the latest in watch technology and design from Kenneth Cole!
Kenneth Cole just came out with his latest styles (see below for some) that includes his popular Touch Screen watch with Digi-Touch Technology™ but also go traditional with a twist: automatic watches, powered by the motion of your body. Pretty cool, huh? In this photo, I am wearing the Stainless Steel Case with White Ceramic Bracelet, $195 (courtesy of Kenneth Cole), which features a liquid crystal display, engraved bevels, and fold-over clasp with push-button safety (my favorite feature!). I got a ton of links taken it for it to fit on my delicate writs, but once sized on me, I think it looks pretty sharp and lends it self a unisex appeal (love it against the white of my Macbook).
The line is priced from $85 and is available at KennethColeTime.com, in-store at Kenneth Cole locations or via Macy’s, Dillard’s or Nordstrom.
Happy Father’s Day!
