So, hopefully I got your attention with the wacky-sounding title, but the gist of it is that I decided to DIY Style a Smirnoff-logoed tee, and the DIY photo that gets the most “likes” for their styling at the Smirnoff Facebook Page from June 6th-June 10th will get $1000 for their charity (note: 1st you must “Like” the Smirnoff page this takes you to in order to “Like” my specific photo.
Mine is the Animal Center of Queens which is a great organization that really needs funding for their amazing work so that they can continue to help dogs and cats in need to be fed, find a home, get spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and take care of medical issues. I personally feed several of the dozen or so street cats on my block, and have been working with the organization to get them, and their spawn, off of the streets.
It really touches my heart, and I hope yours too, so more than anything, I would really appreciate your vote on my DIY style. (btw, if you are in the NYC area and could foster a dog or cat, email Lori at the Center: Angeleyes121473@aol.com )

And speaking of my DIY style; I was given an XXL Rachel Caldwell-designed tee (pictured above) to style, and at first I freaked b/c I had no clue what I would do with a men’s XXL tee; at best, I am a women’s XS! And then suddenly, an epiphany: what better way to carry around a bottle of Smirnoff then in style?!?! So, I dusted off my sewing machine and converted that big ol’ tee into a cute jersey tote. I used the bottom hem as the straps, and drastically took it in on the sides, top and bottom to showcase the logo and be the perfect carry-all size. Check it out below!

I tend to stay away from products that promise tremendous moisture or repair, as the results tend to just weigh down my very fine, delicate hair. However, Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Shampoo & Conditioner came to me from a trusted source, so with a “I will try anything once” mentality, I rinsed, I lathered, and I analyzed the results. My hair was as bouncy as it would be with my volumizing shampoo, and was not held down or oily by the influx of moisture. Bravo!
The secret to the Ojon products is the Ojon Oil, which infiltrates a damaged hair shaft aiding in the replenishment of essential lipids which goes right to the hair cuticle and helps to block water from further damaging and weakening the hair shaft. The goal of the product is to restore the hair type to “Virgin hair,” which essentially means it hasn’t been exposed to chemical processing, UV exposure or thermal and mechanical treatments.
Ojon Damage Reverse Restorative Shampoo & Conditioner is available at Sephora for $10 each for the 2 oz bottle, $24 for the 8.5 oz bottle.
