MiniMe
Minis in the winter? With thick tights, it works! Perfect for a chic soiree or girls night out, this ruffly number from ModCloth perfectly compliments my skin tone…and my tush too! It’s playful and sophisticated with a dose of whimsy and girly added in for good measure. Plus, I would say it’s a close version for “get the look moment” of this pretty Alaia dress Gwenyth Paltrow was spotted in last week. Also in this look:
Clip-on earrings from Ideeli.com
Fenton/Fallon stretch bracelets
Hue tights (present, thanks best friend Jamie!)
Mossimo taupe heels

It’s Okay to Partake in Crazy Rumors
I couldn’t resist the above title, since reviewing the Crazy Rumors brand of eco-friendly lip balm this week! The lip balms by the brand are vegan, all natural, and made with 70% organic ingredients, including moisturizing organic shea butter, soy wax, and jojoba oil, They are also sweetened with Stevia and come in interesting themed flavors such as soda pop, a la mode, gum ball, perk, and brew. I reviewed two from the brew collection – Orange Bergamot and Peppermint Lemongrass, and here’s my verdict:
- love the packaging and graphics – minimal but to the point
- the scents were extremely gender neutral – case in point – my boyfriend snatched up and kept one!
- the balm is fluid and goes on clearly and easily, without causing an drying or leaving a nauseating, overly powerful scent in its quake, as some scented lip balms seem to do
Overall – I loved the brew collection! It’s already become a permanent part of my handbag, and at $3.99, it won’t be too difficult to restock. I received mine complimentary from Crazy Rumors, so shop their site, or search for a health store or small shop in your area that may carry them. Also: enter in the code “CRNY” when you shop at www.crazyrumors.com for a 15% discount, valid through January 31st 2011.
