As the inauguration creeps around the corner, I thought would be fun to look at the sketches commissioned by WWD and pick my five favorites (out of 40 sketches) that I think Michelle should wear. Why? Because who knows? She may be a Fashion Pulse Daily follwer, that’s why!

All Images from WWD.com
Pick #1: Diane von Furstenberg — what’s more American than a wrap dress?
Pick #2: Monique Lhuillier –the vibrant red hue and silken layers would look amazing against her complexion.
Pick #3: Marc Jacobs — this tulip-esque silhouette will give the First Lady a slight fashion forward edge at the ball.

Pick #4: Oscar de la Renta — he proves over and over again that he is truly the best at gowns!

Pick #5: Zero Maria Cornejo — She’s already a fave of Mrs. Obama’s – she really understands how to compliment a figure while displaying a disctinctive design.
Which is your favorite? Write a comment and let me know!

eLUXURY.com, one of the first sites online to tout luxury products, will be shuttering sometime in the next six months. The LVMH-owned site will shift its focus to becoming an online magazine focusing on luxury markets — do we really need another one of these? I personally am quite surprised — I thought they were going head to head with NET-A-PORTER.com, and were doing quite well. Perhaps with the proliferation of luxury brands creating their own online sights contributed to its demise? I can only speculate, but will surely miss the extra 30% even 40% off deals with free shipping.

I’ve been fascinated with the upscale beach-inspired brand ever since I lived around the corner from the Mulberry Street boutique during my college days. All I have to say is thank goodness Target took notice of the designer to extend to him the scepter to design the 15th Go Internal Collection! The items will bow May 17th and be available through June 27th, just in time to get ready for summer. Most of the collection will be priced from $14.99 to $44.99, with the exception of a leather motorcycle jacket priced at $140. Those who aren’t familiar with Feith’s designs will get to cozy up to his amazing prints and 60s inspired silhouettes for a steal, compared to his regular collection that goes for quite a bit more.
