It’s really magical when a celebrity and a product are a good marriage and just seem to make sense together. But when it isn’t a harmonious coupling, it really seems to stand out like a sore thumb. Like Lindsay Lohan and tanning products. Let’s face it — Lindsay — you and I both have pale, freckly skin. We don’t tan. There are no buts about it. The product that she is a part of, called Sevyn Nine, uses real caramel to give a “natural” look and will be launched in Sephora as a six-month exclusive. Still, by looking at the promo shot (above) for Sevyn Nine, and a pic that we snapped of her during New York Fashion Week, it doesn’t look like a tan I’d admire, or one I’d necessarily want to achieve. Maybe I’m wrong, and the stuff will sell like hotcakes, but for some reason I don’t quite get the impression that La Lohan + Self-Tanners=cha-ching. Thoughts?
