Bulgari recently celebrated it’s heritage with the “Between History and Eternity” 1884-2009; 125 Years of Italian Jewelry celebration at Il Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. The fete was a star studded event, honoring the brand’s rich design history and kicking off the exhibition which will run May 22 to September 13, 2009. Several gallery spaces in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni will be dedicated to Bulgari, grouped into decades and themes, for example the 1920s and 1930s are heavily art deco influenced, while the 1970s show links to pop art. I like to support businesses that are local, and although American Eagle Outfitters isn’t exactly a mom and pop store, it’s based out of my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Every now and then I find something I really love at American Eagle or Martin & Osa, and naturally, I’ve got to report back about it! I recently purchased these AE Fringe Sandals for $29.50, and adore the super soft suede along with the flat sole that will surely get serious mileage around NYC this summer. I bought these in “squirrel khaki”, but there are four other fabulous colors to choose from, including “pipeline blue” and “wild violet”.
