Forever 21 Pick of the Day: Beaded Shoulder Sweater, $30

It’s true that embellishment is in, on everything from shoes and handbags to tops, blazers, sweaters, and bottoms. It’s your call if you’re going to go modest with the trend, or overboard in bedazzlement, but we think this Beaded Shoulder Sweater, $29.80 is really quite perfect for a series of occasions that border on semi-dressy.  With a bit of beaded detail, this piece can easily go office to night out with the girls and make a fashion statement without veering too far into the trendy category. What should you pair with this? Skip the necklace, unless it’s a delicate single chain with a simple pendant. Skinny black pants, an electric pink skirt, or black jeans can add just the right tough of panache- you can also adorn the look with layered bangles, suede booties,  or flat over-the-knee boots.

Forever 21 Pick of the Day: Gracie Floral Lace Top, $14

Lace has certainly made  a sleek comeback this season, and nothing says sexy like a sheer black number. Since there’s no telling how long this trend will be back in fashion, however, its always good to make a tiny monetary investment, and this Gracie Floral Lace Top, $13.80, perfectly fits the bill. Pair it with a fitted black blazer, oversized hoop earrings and skinny destoyed jeans for the ultimate revised 90s look.

Forever 21 Pick of the Day: H81 Side Button Dress, $23

Out with it: I have an obsession with Forever 21, I admit it. Many friends and concerned loved ones have tried to break me of it, but I just can’t stop going back to the site or store, especially when I find amazing vintage-inspired looks such as this dress! The color is quite phenomenal, and the fit is rather flattering. IMG_1189

Even though the skirt portion is short, it’s got a nice, comfy elastic waistband, and graciously bubbles out a bit, with the chest yoke, ruffles, and buttons helping to draw attention upward. I couldn’t find the exact version online, but came close — the H81 Side Button Dress, $22.80, in a chambray-like fabric is equally as chic. As you can see in the pic, I go for drama with the bright flats, but play it more simple on top with a simple, heart-shaped pendant necklace. Skip the statement  jewelry with this dress, and merely let the dress’ bodice details do the talking.
