A month ago, Fashion Pulse Daily kicked off the ‘Illustrate This‘ series will illustrator Molly Schafer.
Now moving from fashion to beauty, Schafer’s latest exclusive work for FPD is an illustration of the FlowerbyKenzo fragrance.
About Kenzo: The House of KENZO was founded in Paris in 1970 by Takada Kenzo and included mens, women’s and children’s offerings, with KENZO PARFUMS launched in 1987 and FlowerbyKenzo originally launching in 2000. Channeling red poppy, FlowerbyKenzo is an oriental, floral scent and includes notes of Bulgarian rose and Parma violet. The fragrance has recently seen a resurgence in interest and its marketing efforts via the new, refillable eau de parfum refillable bottles and refill pouches, which cost about 20% less than the regular bottle.
About the illustration: “The design of Kenzo’s Flower is so whimsical, I immediately imagined the perfume being packaged by little elves,” says Schafer. “I had so much fun drawing this. I was inspired to create a set of pinback buttons featuring this little red cap elf. I’ve just listed them on my Etsy shop.”
