While at a Target in Maryland this weekend, I discovered these Mossimo Vanna Pump in Brown for a mere $29.99. Why I like them: they remind me of both Frye and Bottega Veneta, and upon slipping my tired feet into them, were surprisingly comfortable! Plys, I really like the rich brown color, rounded toe, and modest height of the wedge. Style it: pair them with either light or dark torn boyfriend jeans, a khaki or denim skirt, or charcoal-colored leggings.

Carlos Falchi to Design Handbags for Target!
[Images from the Carlos Falchi Collection; no images are available yet from the Target line]
Yet another fabulous collaboration is on its way: Carlos Falchi will be the eighth handbag designer to created a limited-edition collection for Target. The line will be available at the retailer November 1st-December 27th, and we can imagine that it will be a nice debut of faux exotic skins in classic shapes and fun colors at a way lower price point! Stay tuned for more info!

Julia’s Recessionista Look of the Week

It all started with a tip from my boyfriend’s Mom about the new line of SEED organic clothing all for $10 and under at Wal-Mart. I couldn’t help but pick up a few items, and was extremely impressed with the quality. In fact, the organic cotton leggings in black, $8, have now become my absolute favorite leggings! The fabric is thicker than most leggings I have (this means no see-through areas) and has a comfy waistband and longer length. I really believe that the quality of this organic line rivals that of its more expensive counterparts (Edun, Loomstate, Alternative Apparel), but costs significantly less! In this photo, I am wearing the Organic Cotton Tank Dress in charcoal grey ($10) and the Organic Cotton Capri Leggings in black ($8).
