Lord & Taylor’s NYC Benefit Bash – A Day of Shopping & Charity
If you live in the New York area (or simpy wish to stop by for a day of shopping!) give back to your community and hit up an exciting, private day of shopping this Tuesday.
Lord & Taylor is hosting an “NYC Benefit Bash” at their flagship store at 424 Fifth Avenue on November 10, 2009 from 9am to 11pm. It’s only $5 for entry, and 100% of the proceeds from these donation/admission tickets will go to participating charities. Some of the participating organizations include: The Humane Society, Women in Need, Autism Speaks, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training.
When you purchase a ticket (available at the door), you’re given a Savings Pass for 15% off of nearly all merchandise in the store, including cometics and fragrances, and a bonus Savings Coupon for 20% off of one item.
And that’s not all – the store is hosting special events all day, such as: meet-and-greets with Tino Martinez, Sherri Shepherd, Michael Storrings, and Alan Batt; a special performance by Public School 75; complimentary makeovers from any of the store’s cosmetic counters, including Chanel, Dior, Nars, and Clinique; complimentary ornament painting; a Fall Coat Fashion Show; and pictures with Santa.
You won’t want to miss this, so be sure to stop by for a day of shopping and supporting New York’s local charities!

Links a La Mode: The Independent Fashion Bloggers Roundup
Go Fashion Bloggers, Go!

Edited by Debutante Clothing
As more and more print magazines fold, bloggers seem to be growing in professionalism and media legitimacy. When bloggers such as Previously Owned and kaKofonie Of si(gh)lenS can get the scoop on international designers, you know the fashion playing field is being leveled. If bloggers can host great giveaways like Retro Chick’s, I wonder why the FTC needs to play big brother. Fashion Pulse Daily wants to know if you even care. It seems we are becoming the pretty, little websites that could. Yay bloggers!
