Whose collection did you love? We thought at first, we loved Kenley’s then Korto’s, then Leanne’s… this could potentially have been the best runway show to date, as far as clear choice for the winner not being directly obvious.

We love that Nina said “No doubt” – when asked by Heidi if they were sure they made the right decision. There’s something so admirable and charming about Leanne’s modesty and mellow personality that’s completely refreshing to the fashion industry. Her work speaks for itself, and she doesn’t need to have an attitude or make a fuss to make a statement and get her work noticed. Brava Leanne!

As I perused Forever 21 in Soho last night, I was quite surprised to discover a table covered with uber-dark, uber-soft, uber-well-cut
Lindsey Skinny Jeans for only $12.50!!! Because the dressing rooms were absolutely unbearable, I did the good old “hold up to my waist” method, and the fit looked pretty good! I took the risk of buying them online, so keep your fingers crossed that the cut is impeccable, if not – I have “21 days” to exchange them for store credit. I’ll surely let you know how it goes!
Choose from denim black ( I bought this shade), indigo, or dark denim.
Add $5.95 for s&h, or stop in the store to pick up a pair (or two, or three).
UPDATE: The jeans just arrived, and we love them!! The fit is really great, and the color looks amazing. Just one note: they run small, so perhaps opt for one size larger than what you’re used to!

On last night’s “New Haven can wait” episode of Gossip Girl, television’s most fashionable best frenemies made amends, but their Ivy League styles were still at odds. A stuffy and traditional Blair achieved the classic intellectual look with ties, bows, cardigans, plaid, and pencil skirts. The charmer, Serena, gave the New Haven campus a breath of fresh air by choosing a more updated scholarly look, with a cute purple and white striped blazer, knee high boots, and short, yet classy dresses.
Are you more of a Blair or a Serena? Get Blair’s look with this Satin Headband with a Bow ($3.80, Forever 21), and for $245, the exact L.A.M.B High Waisted Plaid Skirt Blair wore can be yours from Nordstrom. If you’re on Team Serena, get these Dominika boots ($180, Aldo) and this LaRok Chieftain Fitted Jacket, now on sale for $177.90 at Nordstrom.
In other news, our little ingénue Jenny has quit school so she can give a major fashion designer her opinion, full time. Our first instinct was to roll our eyes, but maybe we’re just jealous…
