We just found out that there’s more one the way via the Target accessory designer collaborations — yay!!!! Felix Rey designers Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk will have a handbag collection dubbed Felix Rey for hitting the stores/online March 29th, followed by Trish Carroll of Miss Trish of Capri creating a shoe line for Target April 5th. So far, our favorites have been Gryson for handbags and Hollywould for shoes at Target, but are anxiously awaiting to see what the new collaborations have rolling out! No images were currently available of the upcoming Target collections, so we’ve put up a few of the signature collection items to get an idea of the designers’ designs.

Forever 21 Pick of the Day: Peacock Pleated Top, $20
Over the years I’ve kind of had a thing for peacocks — I’ve worn their feathers as earrings, I’ve been inspired
by the shape of their tail to create garments that mimicked the silhouette, and grew up near the Pittsburgh Zoo, where the cavalier birds would frequently escape and stop traffic. Anyways, back to shopping: I love the styling and drape of this Peacock Pleated Top, $19.80, which can be worn either casually, as pictured, with a worn-in leather jacket, or dressed up with a woven pencil skirt and 4-inch platforms! Add $5.95 for s&h.

Cheap Chic: Norma Kamali for Wal-Mart!
Norma Kamali has always been one of those rare, cool designers that I’ve admired — very hands on, extremely innovative, never “selling out”, and trailblazing the way for new concepts. Norma Kamali‘s latest venture with Wal-Mart was created in order to keep great fashion accessible at all price points, and that she surely accomplishes. Several of her signature styles like batwing knit sweaters, rip-stop material clothes,
leopard, and versatile dresses are available at the mega-retailer, all for under $20 each! Plus, there are organic cotton tees for $6! Take that Target! Unfortunately, most of our favorites are already sold out online, but if you’re heading somewhere outside of New York City for the holidays, chances are that there’s a Wal-Mart within a 5-mile radius. If not, shipping is only .97 cents via Walmart.com. We’re going to be heading to one in a suburb outside of Pittsburgh on Black Friday — wish us luck! The best from the collection include the Athletic Batwing Cardigan, Elbow-Sleeve Tunic Sweatshirt, Long-Sleeve Print Jersey Wrap Dress, Ripstop Cargo Pants, and the Organic Graphic Cotton Scoop Tank.

Miu Miu Spring 2009 Runway Review
As always, Miuccia Prada has created a line that redefines the style of glamourous and youthful women with her nickname Miu Miu label. Her S/S 2009 collection worked Ms. Prada’s quintessential quirkiness to perfection; the models somehow looked effortlessly sophisticated in tattered burlap tops and pleated aprons, some in deep red, aborigine, or streaked with graffiti. The collection took a more contemporary turn when the burlap morphed into a shiny satin that made theses dresses certainly worthy for a night on the town. The looks lent their way into a parade of printed, pleated dresses resembling classic European paintings and mosaics. We loved the styling idea of contrasting a short and simple black skirt with a longer intricately painted apron – very chic, very Italian. The belt trend has been with us for a while now, and we’re almost ready to move onto to a new variation- perhaps it could be Miuccia’s “grembiuli” — after all, what Miuccia says, goes.
