Fashion Week Freebies: The Good, the Bad, & The Just Plain Funny
When fashion week rolls around, I am constantly asked “Oooh what did you get? What was your favorite? Got anything for me?”. Most people say that every season gets skimpier and skimpier, but I think there is the same mix of makeup, gift certificates, alcohol, etc that there always has been. Of course out of these freebies, anything potentially “guy-centric” goes right to my Dad and brother, and of course, my Mom gets first dibbs on everything.

Vivienne Tam F/W 2009 — Live Blogging Stations
What an absolutely great idea this was! It was the first time I ever attended such a blogger friendly show/presentation, and was quite impressed with the results. Despite the tight show schedule and rainy weather, the Vivienne Tam boutique in Soho was crowded; I had to squeeze my way to the front to get some pics of the models. All in all, it was a lovely presentation, complete with intricate detailing and brighter colors that will definitely inspire some interesting color matching in the future. This format really did the clothes justice, letting the writers/editors/bloggers etc examine the detailing and craftmanship of each piece up close. Brava Vivienne Tam!
