I am so glad I got the opportunity to attend the Rachel Zoe for QVC reception at the tents after all the shows this evening! It was certainly a star-studding affair, including Amanda Bynes, Stephanie Pratt, Kelly Rutherford (of Gossip Girl), Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Heather Graham, and of course, Ms. Zoe herself! It was tons of fun and I had a blast with my blogger friends and Mom, and here are some pics from the night!

Blogging Live from Vivienne Tam S/S 2010

I’m so excited to be giving FPD readers the first word from the tents LIVE during the Vivienne Tam S.S 2010 collection! HP generiously let me borrow a tablet to blog from the show and tell you what I’m seeing: lace, eyelet, butterfulies, swirledprints, chiffon, sequins, backbone detailing, a bit of laser cutouts, some fringe and applique! What a great idea to have a huge screen as the backdrop for the show — it makes everything so so so much easier to see! I’m surprised to see some of the casual looks – light and colored denim, but smartly paired with detalied blazers. Beautiful printed silks, green yellow combinations that just feel so natural together, see-through long-sleeve blouses, a dash of evening sparkle via sequins, more sequins now as applique in shapes, amazing multi-colored sequin jacket. The show just ended-I know in 2 seconds she’s going to get a standing ovation! Pics to come soon, and please forgive the typos!!

Cushnie et Ochs Spring Summer 2010 Collection
Julia’s Exclusive Interview with Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs!
It’s hard to describe the feeling when you know you’ve seen one of, if not the best collection at fashion week, but that’s how it felt as soon as the second look walked down the runway. Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs, gave a new shape to both structured and fluid clothing, quite remarkable when you think that all of the areas of fashion design have already been explored. The duo created cut-outs that looked like waves, weren’t afraid to utilize mesh, as well as accent erogenous zones. Take note of these two designers because they are the next big thing, with their collection already carried at Bergdorf’s.
