Shoe Woo Is Where It’s At!
Last night, I was lucky enough to attend the opening party for Shoe Woo, a concept shoe store that sells affordable brands including Nine West, Nine West Vintage America, Bandolino, Joan & David, Rachel Rachel Roy, Sam & Libby, AK Anne Klein, Enzo Angiolini, Circa Joan & David, and Boutique 9. The store is designed to provide a new, unique kind of shopping experience in that the shoes (and handbags!) are whimsically displayed amongst its two floors akin to “candy in a candy shop.” My favorite part of the store is the upstairs lounge area, which houses a more casual collection and is designed to resemble an attic in an old house, right down to the unfurnished walls, antique trunks and armchairs, and rugged picture frames and mirrors.
Aside from the hors d’œuvres, tarot-card reader, and complimentary manicures, I also indulged in a little shopping and will definitely be returning soon! Shoe Woo is open as of October 1, 2009, and is located on 750 Lexington Avenue near 59th street; be sure to stop by for a visit — as an employee put it, “Welcome to your future; it’s full of shoes!”

P.S. – if you’re in NYC, keep your eye out for the Woomobile, a mini Cooper that will be driving all over town now through October 9th handing out gift cards to Shoo Woo! Find out where it’s heading via Twitter.

Fashion Week 2010 at the Hautelook Suite: Felix Rey Sneak Preview
Prepare to be dazzled for holiday and spring 2010 with thew new Felix Rey collections – literally! As we saw on the runways and in other handbag collections, animal print is still roaring, along with sequins and hardware, all done in Felix Rey’s charming aesthetic. Indeed, the brand displayed a nice selection of covetable clutches that make dressing up fun again. The Felix Rey gal for 2010 will be stepping out in ripped jeans or that fabulous lbd with a clutch in hand or chain purse dangling on her shoulder looking stunning; and you better believe that I wanted absolutely every piece that I saw during this sneak peak! I love the cheeky nature of the one-sided heart, oversized bows, and leopoard-print lining.
