Lance, Rip Curl, FPD, & ModCloth Heart Movember
What is Movember, exactly? Besides seeing moustaches on a ton of guys during the month of November, its purpose is to raise awareness of men’s health, with organizations such as Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation to promote research and awareness for prostate cancer. At Fashion Pulse Daily, we are supporting a group of guys with silly ‘staches called Team Rip Curl USA in the race to not only grow the weirdest-looking moustache, but also to raise an incredible amount of money for the cause (click here to make a donation!).
While the ladies in the ModCloth office won’t be growing ‘staches, ModCloth will be putting special Movember tote bags into orders of $100 or more on Nov. 23 (today!), while supplies last. Get one before they are all gone, and spread the word about Movember!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009

I was invited be the lovely Yuli Ziv of MyItThings to view the Victoria’s Secret 2009 Fashion Show, and what an event it was! While Ms. Ziv had backstage hair and makeup access, I was glad to mingle with the other bloggers and enjoy the appetizers and bubbly. The show was an action-packed event, barely 40 minutes long, under the umbrella theme of “Magical Journey” and was quite a spectacle. It’s hard not to become mesmerized by the music, over-the-top adornments, and of course, out of this world bodies, with every year seeming to become a bigger production. The show’s five sections, with music performances by The Black Eyed Peas interspersed throughout, were:
- Star Trooper (my favorite – reminiscent of the opening scene from Who are you, Polly Maggo?)
- All Aboard
- Pink Planet
- Enchanted Voyage
- Romantic Voyage
Heidi Klum made a cameo appearance on the runway, along with the Victoria’s Secret model search winner, and a bevy of tall beauties in made-for-the-show embellished bras, wings, sequined things, fluffy stuff (you get the picture). Sorry for the lack of photos or video, however, since it has yet to air, we weren’t permitted to take any! Intrigued?
You can catch the show December 1st, at 10pm EST on CBS!
