Over here at Fashion Pulse Daily we recently tested the Simple Kind to Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub and Simple Kind to Skin Moisturizing Foaming Facial Wash from the popular U.K. brand which released a product line in the U.S. this month, and were quite pleased with the results and price point ($7.99, available at Duane Reade). Simple’s products are full of vitamin goodness, pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E that restore, soften, and moisturize, that seems to successfully work on a variety of complexions and skin complications. Best of all there’s no perfume or dyes, so all you sensitive skin people out there, this is safe to use. The scrub uses rice granules that gave a barely there feeling to the product, unlike other scrubs that make you feel like you’re using a heavy-duty abrahsive on your face. The wash felt clean and refreshing, and did not result in any breakouts, dry, or oily patches after using it for a few days. All in all, Fashion Pulse Daily gives a big thumbs up to Simple!

Just as fashion weeks around the world are underway for the spring 2010 season, Microsoft Windows has launched five new fashion-related designer themes, so now you’re Windows phone can be just as chic as you are! The themes allow users to customize their mobile device to fit their personality and express their style, with the following themes available for all Windows Mobile 6.5 devices starting October 6th, and can be downloaded for free from Windows Marketplace for Mobile beginning the same day. For additional images of all the designer themes and information, visit the Windows Mobile team blog. These themes are so cool that I’m almost convinced to ditch the Blackberry..
- Diane von Furstenberg (on the Samsung Jack Windows phone)

- Isaac Mizrahi (on the HTC Touch Pro2 Windows phone)

- Rock & Republic (on the HTC Touch Pro 2 Windows phone)

- Vera Wang (the theme was hand drawn by Ms. Wang herself! On the HTC Touch Diamond2 Windows phone)

- Ron Arad (on the HTC Touch Pro2 Windows phone)

There’s something about the fall season that brings both calming and chaotic feelings. As we kiss our wild summer nights goodbye, we say hello to late night study sessions and longer days in the office. As New York Fashion Week closes and we’re trying to catch up on the latest collections, London Fashion Week kicks off. This week’s round up of Links à la Mode from Independent Fashion Bloggers embodies a little bit of everything in an effort to give you a breather in between the deceiving calm that comes with fall. We’ve got runway reviewes ranging from Fashion Pulse’s take on Tory Burch to Fasshonaburu’s humorous experience at the Snuggie fashion show, and Style Amour rated the top five most disappointing Spring 2010 collections. There are also a few new DIY’s worth checking out, especially the Maison Michael bunny ears post from Monoxious. Last but not least, make sure you check out Ashe Mischief’s scando-style post on Sarah Von of Yes and Yes on Dramatis Personae.
By the way, if you haven’t checked out the IFB Dress Up Soiree & Evolving Influence Panel recap, click here.
