The most important, universal accessory of New York Fashion Week Day 1 was..an umbrella! It was constantly raining, without much of an opportunity given to enjoy the outdoors in these final days of the wonderful heat, which is so unfashionable! I did catch a few moments of much-appreciated sunlight, racking up way more steps via my FitBit than usual, as I took that opportunity to swiftly walk in my New York stride between fashion show venues.
This season, my looks don’t exactly have a theme, but I’ve been breaking my “no black at fashion week” rule, planning to wear an array of black clothing, and even accessories. I’m excited to wear Sorrelli’s brand new Black Fringe collection, which just came out this week an antique gold-tone finish, stone clusters, and angular, geometric designs.
