I have to pinch myself sometimes, considering how lucky I am to be able to preview amazing products from incredible brands, especially those that reside among my favorite, and then get to share them with you, dear reader!
For fall 2014, I previewed collections from H.H. Brown’s brands and licenses: Carmen Marc Valvo Calzature, Carmen Carmen Marc Valvo, Sofft, Born, Crown by Born, Isola, Kork-Ease, and Walk-Over, and have selected several styles from each brand to share, so that you too can get excited about the upcoming season’s trends that incorporate new, important silhouettes, textured fabrications, and interesting heel shapes. Suede for fall is a MUST, as well as exotic skin detailing, like snakeskin and stingray, with heels ranging from spindly to curved and chunky. Menswear-inspired looks are still prevalent, along with “Granny” inspired lace ups, with comfort AND style reigning.
While in the showroom, I got to spend some time with menswear designer David Hart, who had very, very cool, one-of-a-kind custom shoes created for him by H.H. Brown for his fall 2014 show (see pictures in the slideshow above).
