The New York Giants and New England Patriots will meet head to head in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012… but more importantly, what are you going to wear to watch the game?!
While your sartorial choices may not be the first thought on your man’s mind, challenge the inner fashionista to celebrate this fabulous indoor (yay!) activity of sport watching in laid-back style. Leave the jerseys to your high school days and let us help you score a touchdown as you prove to be the ultimate “guy’s girl”. Whether you’re making your famous mean, green guacamole, or crammed in a standing-room-only space, full of cheering fan(atics), you’ll want to be comfortable and casual. Besides, you never know who may spill their beer in excitement.
Being a part of the spectator sport does not have to be anti-fashion. But let’s see some options that don’t involve wearing a team jersey…

The three looks above make up my favorite, classic game-day ensemble: jeans and a sweater. You can’t go wrong with any variation of this look, and you can even sport a sweater in the color of your team!
Finally, some guaranteed penalties:
1. Stilettos. Don’t even try saying they look like cleats! If you must have a heel, opt for boots instead.
2. Pajamas. This is not your average lazy Sunday. It’s the Super Bowl and a social event, so show your fashion spirit (and leave your Snuggie at home)!
3. Overly done hair, nails, makeup. Don’t waste your time and energy– all of the attention is going to be on the tube, so just focus on prepped, well-scrubbed and moisturized, glowing skin.
Enjoy the game, commercials, food, and fun!
