With each season, the “Tory girl”‘s inner indie spirit comes out a bit more, with this season surfacing via mix matched knits, and a definite vintage vibe, harking back to both the ’60s and the ’70s. Heavy on plaids, polka dots, embellishment, tweed and lace, we couldn’t keep our eyes off of the wide leg gaucho pants, that had a brilliant inner pleat to create the look of walking, or floating, on air.

The amazing lite-brite-esque lights used in the window display at Tory Burch’s stores
Last week I attended the resort preview for Tory Burch in her Meatpacking District store that also included a styling component. Check out the look I styled using clothing and accessories from the Tory Burch Resort Launch, now posted to the Tory Burch Facebook page, where fans can vote for their favorite look. The blogger with the most votes will get a $350 Tory Burch gift card. So I hope you like my look, and get your vote on! Did you even know that National Business Women’s Week existed? I didn’t, and I’m a woman and own a business! They even have a blog! Founded in 1928 (really?!?) the National Business Women’s Week spotlights the progress made by female business owners, and the Tory Burch Foundation, founded in 2009, aids in that by helping bolster the success of women’s businesses financially. A special collection by Tory, featuring the sunflower design, her foundation symbol, on scarves, leather bracelets, totes, key chains, a compilation CD and more has a percentage of sales going toward this worthy cause. Retailing from $16.99-$195, you can support the foundation by purchasing one of these products, or make a straight up donation if you’d like!
In the meanwhile, check out the info, think about it, and enter our giveaway for a free Tory Burch Foundation compilation CD (retails for $16.99)! The CD features songs by some of my faves, old and new, including The Smiths, Wyclef Jean, Santigold, and Santana and Citizen Cope.

One of the cutest videos and coolest concepts I’ve seen in a while – I loved Tory Burch before, and now I love her ten times more! What a fun project — I think I’m going to start carrying a tape recorder around with me…
