Style Spotlight: TOMS Chic & Charitable Sunglasses

ll be honest – the entire concept of TOMS Sunglasses totally slipped under my radar. Maybe it’s because I typically don’t spend a lot of money on sunglasses (why splurge on a pair I’ll likely either break or lose when I can just binge-buy $10 pairs from Nordstrom’s Juniors department?). Or maybe it’s because I haven’t been a huge fan of TOMS in general, despite the brand’s admirable charitable contributions to people in need. Whatever the reason, I’m ashamed to have missed out for so long and I’m ready to enter the TOMS game, thanks to a few ultra-stylish pairs of shades that are tempting me to ditch my current “pay less, break more” accessories philosophy! Similar to the brand’s “buy one, give one” model when it comes to shoe sales, TOMS helps provide professional eye care to a person in need with the purchase of each pair of sunglasses. So whether you’re a fan of the Beachmaster, the Lobamba, or the Bellevue (or any of the brand’s many on-trend styles), it’s a lot easier to justify a splurge when you know the proceeds are also going to a good cause!
