Moda Operandi is starting a fashion riot! Fashion’s favorite luxury e-commerce site is going punk in honor of the 2013 Costume Institute exhibition, Punk: Chaos to Couture on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 9th to August 14th. The exhibit’s focus on punk’s evolution from the streets to the luxury design houses is being celebrated by Moda Operandi with a brand new exclusive collection., featuring over 100 pieces of luxurious punk items created by major designers such as Givenchy, Rodarte, Dolce and Gabbana and the queen of punk herself, Vivienne Westwood.
These pieces are each designer’s spin on the subculture’s iconic looks and offer luxurious options inspired by punk wardrobe staples such as leather, spikes, zippers and corsets. The collection will launch on ModaOperandi.com on May 2nd and each piece will range in price from $100 to $13,000. So go wild and let your inner punk persona out of the closet with these tough but chic pieces; safety pins not included.
