Sigerson Morrison is Back and Better Than Ever!

by fashion pulse contributor

“Dali”

Sigersonmorrison.com, the home page of Sigerson Morrison, has been MIA the past few months on “holiday,” as the brand prepares to unveil a new spring 2012 collection and site. In the meanwhile, customers can, however, reach Sigerson Morrison’s contemporary counterpart, Belle by Sigerson Morrison.

The existing footwear company is being revamped under the direction of former Teen Vogue and Marie Claire editor Taylor Tomasi Hill, as she uses her street style sensibility to craft the line and construct editorial content for the brand’s new online domain.

Tomasi told WWD, “I have a new found appreciation for creating color palettes and choosing materials – there is so much to choose from, and I think we put together an amazing assortment. We included so many rich textures, [including] suede, snake [and] spazzolato – my new favorite material.”

“Kade”

“Bottice” and “Gaugain”

We have to agree, and are utterly enamored with the wedges and flat sandals. Our feet are tingling with excitement at the chance to wear any pair from the SS12 collection. The new collection will range in price from $295-$495 with a taupe, gray, brown, and black color palette mixed with pops of burgundy and teal. With silhouettes including classic pumps, boots, wedges and flats, the company is anticipating a 25% increase in sales this year.

The fall 2012 collection will debut next month, hence we welcome Sigerson Morrison back with open arms…or feet, perhaps?

Helping Haiti is Only a Click Away

by fashionpulse

Level your guilty shopping impulse by buying items from one (or all) of the many brands that are donating a percentage of their sales to support the Haiti tragedy. 15% of your online purchases at kooba.com are directed to help earthquake victims, so justify splurging on a girly-named tote, even if it’s on sale. Who knew that slinging a soft black leather Juliet over your shoulder could be charitable?

Carry the theme of support into your V-day celebration and coax your boy-toy into ordering you his fantasy lingerie from Hanky Panky- 10% of all web sales go to the American Red Cross. Take it from Lady Gaga, red is sexy and supportive! image007Relentlessly challenging is coming up with a gift for your man (aside from electronics and comic books, what do guys really need?) Fortunately, Anthony.com is donating 10% of ACTION Anthony Men’s products to the long-standing Partners in Health who are already helping the impoverished people in Haiti. base_media

Havaianas flip flopped 7,000 pairs of sandals to the cause in conjunction with Soles4Souls, who are providing shoes and boots for survivors to seek out others still stuck in the wreckage. It may not be the season just yet, but with 30% of proceeds going to the American Red Cross that surely gives grounds for acquiring a pair of “Little Bird” sandals on LuckyMag.com.

Should your shoe collection be too extensive to fit into a much too small wardrobe, perhaps you should consider donating a pair of last season’s gently worn heels to Sigerson Morrison to receive 15% off the Spring/Summer Collection and an additional 10% off sales merchandise. A pair of shoes is always an investment and even more so until February 28th with proceeds going to Soles4Souls and the Haiti Relief Fund. Self-indulgent? Hardly. unknown[Image via tuckerpaisley.com]

Veritably, Christina Aguilera and Lacy Chabert are bundling themselves up in Love for Haiti – literally.  The signature print fringe scarf by Tucker Paisley promises to both keep you warm this winter and donate 10% of sales to the American Red Cross (sold here).

We’ve all suffered the disaster that is static winter hair – solution? Make an appointment at Red Market Salon for February 1st to boost volume for both your hair and Haiti relief efforts. While you get pampered by Parisian stylists, all profits from the day go to Wyclef Jean’s organization, Yele Haiti.

Tough Girl Sandals – The Metal Studded Gladiator

by fashionpulse

Yes, the gladiator sandal is with us again, and love or hate them they’re here to stay. This time the new twist on the now classic gladiator is the metal stud. Imagine Audrey Hepburn starring in Mad Max as our favorite warrior tough girl. What is she wearing on her feet? Why incredibly chic Italian gladiator metal studded sandals, of course! The contrast of the metal adds texture and interest, as metal studs seem to be adorning all types of accessories this season. The metal stud replaces the colored stone as an embellishment. Think tough punk inspired metal trims including zippers, chains and studs on handbags, belts, and jackets.

Some of our favorite picks studded gladiator sandals are the (from upper left, clockwise): KORS Michael Kors “Yulissa” studded flat sandals, Roberto Cavalli stud fringed sandal, Loeffler Randall strappy studded sandal, and the Sigerson Morrison studded gladiator sandal in black.

Sigerson Morrison, Anya Hindmarch — Now at Target!

by fashionpulse

We’ve most definitely been waiting in incredible anticipation, and finally the new Go International collections have arrived! Jonathan Saunders did some wonderful items with colorblocking that are must-haves, but we were mainly dying to see the accessories and shoes of Sigerson Morrison for Target and
Anya Hindmarch for Target!

Although these items don’t resemble the designers’ signature collection 100%, we do have some favorites,  including the Sigerson Morrison for Target Rocksie Jeweled Flats in Purple ($29.99) and the
Anya Hindmarch for Target Large Shoulder Bag in Gold/ Cream ($49.99).
