Don’t Let Summer End Without Trying This: Jane Iredale’s Lip Drink Lip Balm with SPF 15

I love, love love Jane Iredale, and use something from the brand, be it usually eyeshadow or eye primer, every single day. The Lip Drink Lip Balm ($17, JaneIredale.com) in Sheer has been in steady rotation for the past few years, and I was thrilled when shades were added to the lineup.

The brand now welcomes its latest color, Tease (pictured above), a shimmery plum brown which is a nice addition to the collection and provides a bit of spice to your late summer look. As always, it features a lemon flavor and includes green tea extract, carrot seed and avocado oils, Vitamins E and C, and a bit of SPF! Also of note from the brand is the new TripleLuxe Long Lasting Naturally Moist Lipsticks, 15 creamy to matte shades that feature Moringa oil and a Tahitian vanilla and blackberry flavor and fragrance.

New from Jane Iredale: Three BeautyPrep Skincare Products

Jane Iredale  has long placed an emphasis on multi-tasking products, providing skin care benefits for the past 20+ years in its makeup. The brand now takes its first steps into the field of truly dedicated skin care  with a lineup of three products that prepare and protect the face for the application of makeup, as well as for an overall healthier, brighter complexion

. Currently all available at JaneIredale.com, the first of the trio, the BeaytyPrep Face Cleanser ($28), acts as a no-rinse cleansing water, including micellar water with cucumber extract to hydrate and oat amino acids to nourish and soothe.

The BeautyPrep Face Toner ($33), is the next layer of prep for makeup, creating a clean slate to intake a moisturizer, all the while providing hydration thanks to a fruit extract infused water called herbasome, including lemon grass, apple, pear, carrot, and coconut water. The tonre, and the moisturizer are scented with lemon grass extract, which adds a clean, effervescent pop to the products.

The last of the three is the BeautyPrep Face Moisturizer ($45), possessing a blockbuster combination of rose stem cell extracts, which include white rose, damask rose, rosa canina, and pale rose, each known for benefits ranging from cell regeneration to tightening pores, smoothing and brightening skin, and replenishing the moisture barrier for more supple skin.

In other new and notable  Jane Iredale news, eight darker shades have been added to its popular PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation, along with a deeper shade of PurePressed Blush (mystique).

If you are one to shy away from gloss and love the matte lip look, Shien Cosmetics is where you will find your happy lip place! The brand’s debut collection, dubbed “Viper’s Dream,” is a line of highly pigmented shades, including ingredients common to Chinese and Japanese herbology such as white camellia oil, green tea extract, and red algae extract. After testing the lipsticks (see me, here, in Viper’s Dream), I found that they provided the matte texture achieved by filling in with a lip pencil, coupled with the convenience and rapidity I prefer in a lipstick form. The silk matte collection features eight shades at $18 each, which will certainly be a welcome addition to your statement lip color assortment.

Continuing along with my new love of matte beauty products, the NARS Matte Multiple has the most opulent and fabulously buildable, long-lasting, and of course, hydrating color for lips and cheeks. I’ve been using the rose coral shade of Laos non-stop, however there are six other gorgeous shades to choose from — Anguilla (ginger pink), Exumas (pink apricot), Siam (poppy red), Altai (rose bronze), Vientiane (copper bronze), and Cappadoce (golden bronze).
