“It’s so important to “Race for the Cure” (and now “Sleep in for the Cure” is a great option too!). I once participated in Breast Cancer Walk (it was for extra credit in school). The younger me thought “Eh, it will be just an easy stroll with a bunch of families.” I was so wrong! When I showed up and saw all those people and thought what the size of the crowd must of meant to them, I was blown away. It was like hope and love and sadness had all come together and manifested themselves in a visible net of support for everyone involved. My aunt died from breast cancer when I was very little and I just suddenly felt her there with me, as if she was saying, “Wow, I wish this had been around when I went through this fight on my own.” I feel so passionately about anything that supports awareness…keep on keeping on with this!“
