The collection started with well-cut suits subdued in shades of natural beige, white and tan, and as Simon Spurr‘s Spring 2011 lineup progressed, the colors began to transition with accents of rich yellows, splashing all the way into pink pants with red jackets, and then eventually darkened into deep silvers and blacks. With a vibe of classic meets quirk nothing was particularly inventive, but everything was nonetheless well executed and fine-tuned plaids. Spurr accessorized his dapper outfits with leather bowling bags, circle scarves, straw trilby hats, and power umbrellas. I wish all men in New York would wear Simon Spurr; infact, I’d even love to take a few pieces for myself!
