Alexander McQueen fanatics rejoice! The recently redesigned www.alexandermcqueen.com, offering women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories, will now offer the high-end contemporary line McQ at www.alexandermcqueen.com/mcq. The digital flagship will enable users to purchase Alexander McQueen and McQ straight from shop-able look books from one cart, providing a multi-brand experience from the largest range of McQueen products found online.
The site boasts an INCREDIBLE digital scarf boutique, ensuring that users will be able to shop more color combinations than anywhere else online, along with McQueen’s fabulous seasonal fashion scarves.
Sigh; we love the combination of content and commerce — don’t you?

Everyone knows that I generally love the Go International designer collaborations with Target. And perhaps it was my fault for holding the McQ collection to a higher standard, but I expected this to be the most avant garde collection Target has had. Instead, the collection is a mix of basics and funkier items, like blue mesh tunics, leather vests, and tiny bikini bottomes. The gem for me was the drapey green and black dress for $69.99; more costly however than Go International items that I’ve purchased in the past (usually no more than $49.99). I do have to say that it was a fabulous event, with a performance by The Duke Spirit, free libations, and a cool warehouse space that made the trek over to the West Side Highway worth it.

Via a new series of limited edition designs, separate from Go International, Target will launch “Designer Collaborations” in March, starting with Alexander McQueen. The designer’s line will be similar to his work on McQ line (pictured), dubbed “McQ Alexander McQueen for Target”. So far, McQueen’s signature play of feminine vs. masculine, silk-screens, kitschy graphics, denim ,and blazers are slated for the collection, with images and price points yet to be released. Stay tuned for perhaps one of the best designer editions yet from the bullseye retailer!
