Lita Fab in Sick of Men, $199.95
Night Lita in Rainbow Galaxy, $249.95
When it comes to pushing the fashion envelope in footwear design, Jeffrey Campbell continues to shock and awe us with his skills and imagination. In true daredevil style, the JC girl is undaunted by the hype of her” can’t-touch-me platform,” a true collector of the latest, greatest, statement-making shoes.
The latest Jeffrey Campbell shoe collaboration is with Black Milk Clothing, now available for pre-order, only at Solestruck.com. This idiosyncratic alliance makes sense in its own odd way. Black Milk Clothing is most well-known for their patterned leggings, from Beetlejuice stripes to Galaxy prints, the way-out patterns shun the trends that guide the popular fashion world. Jeffrey Campbell creates shoes from a vintage angle, also with the bias for a street style sentiment. The new collection flaunts the “Sick of Men” print and a “Galaxy” print, to name few, in heels and platforms that just plain rock.
Go ahead, stop traffic.

Get dressed, layer up, and then do it all over again. That’s how Rebecca Taylor did it, and it was spot on chic. Pleated blouses were paired with onyx shearling hooded vests, herringbone coats covered leather bomber jackets, fringe sweaters fell over printed dresses…and it all looked flawless. The “wow-factor” came in via glitter, beads, velvet and leather pieced or charcoal nail head leggings. We will fantasize about those leggings until they’re in our closet, and then we’ll rock them, Rebecca Taylor style, with mini skirts and dresses on top. Beyond fashion, let’s just say we’ll all be imitating that undone beautiful fishtail braid the models rocked hard.
Rebecca Minkoff
I’m obsessed with Rebecca Minkoff’s inspiration—a girl with moxie—but the obsession doesn’t stop there. How about the way she knows just how to glorify the modern woman by empowering her independence? Represented through bold jewel tones and menswear inspired pieces, Minkoff paired courageous ancestral prints and brocade touches to create confident looks. The pants and trousers were utterly to die for, as were the jackets and coats. Blanket coats, lamb bombers, overcoats and tweeds will be topping everyone’s lists for Fall 2012.
