A Very Cole Evening with the Fall 2011 Collection
Sorry for the play on words in the title, but I just couldn’t resist! The week was off to a great start with the man himself, Kenneth Cole, hosting an event at his welcoming West Side spot.

Last night was another magical one spent at Kenneth Cole productions, the showroom and office space for Kenneth Cole’s eponymous label since its inception. On display was the new fall 2011 collection just mentioned on the cover of Women’s Wear Daily and certainly a great site to behold, as envisioned by Kenneth Cole Creative Director Ingo Wilts and the classic James Dean film Rebel Without A Cause. Although we are finally coming out of the doldrums of winter, I wouldn’t mind heading right back into it with one of these new coats and sturdy boots in tow! Here are some sneak peeks of the fall 2011 collection, as well as some pics to get the ambiance from the night. After we chatted with Kenneth, there was a screening of the film, which I had never seen all the way through. Never-ending snacks were served (I ate too many gummy bears!), and as a terrific addition to the night, I was one of three people to win a Kenneth Cole shopping spree- yippee! Stay tuned for more on what I pick soon.

Nice to Meet You, Kenneth Cole!
Last night was yet another magical night, dinner with Kenneth Cole, to which I was invited via the arrival of the new Bloggie Touch Camera, by Sony with a sticky note that said “Play Me – KC.” What appeared on the screen was a video from Kenneth Cole inviting me to dinner at Kenneth Cole Productions for dinner and to view the Spring 2011 collection – squeal! Inspired by the theme of ‘urban safari’ there was a heavy use of white, leather embossed exotic skins, animal and micro prints, and airy fabrics. Quote about the collection: “Through the rugged mountains, Saharan desert and into the tropical rain forest: The Spring 2011 collection tells the story of our global landscape which takes inspiration from the organic colors and textures inherent in nature, juxtaposed with a more urban,
utilitarian sensibility.” I loved the description, as well as the blood orange dress you can see peeking out of the picture above (also found below).
