Picking a favorite outfit during New York Fashion Week isn’t exactly akin to picking your favorite child, but there’s always a diplomatic way to answer the question, i.e. “Well Sally, you’re my favorite female child,” when indeed, little Sally is the only female child in the family. So I guess what I could say is that this particular look is my favorite graphic black and white look from New York Fashion Week, as I couldn’t help but play with the strips and polka dots as much as possible, accentuated by a vibrantly-shaded hobo bag.
After about a week now at fashion week-related endeavors, comfort is king, and this dress and shoes are right where I want to be. Add a waterfall braid, a bright lip, and some opulent jewels, and I’m good to go. See you tomorrow for my final look from New York Fashion Week!

Another season is upon us! This September 4th-11th, New York Fashion Week will take us on a journey with expected new trends in color, silhouette, and styling. I’m excited to cover the shows, which will now be my 22nd time doing so! This season, I’m going to do things a bit differently, and in a way that you will hopefully find more enjoyable. I’m shifting a great majority of the coverage to our social media channels, so please follow along on Twitter at @fashionpulse and @fashionpulseday , Instagram @FashionPulseDaily, the Pinterest board dedicated to NYFW , Facebook (Fashion Pulse), and who knows, maybe something will pop up on the YouTube channel too! I will have plenty of help with contributors covering the shows, and also putting out what they see and experience through our social channels. Generally follow along the happenings with the hashtags #NYFW and #MBFW.
See the video above, also duplicated in the sidebar (directly above the Instagram pics) for the live stream from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week courtesy of Rightster! You can watch the shows as they happen, or catch up on shows that you missed from earlier in the day or week.
On FashionPulseDaily.com, there will be some occasional show reviews, however as I’m taking the blog in a more accessories-driven direction, the fashion week coverage will also veer in that direction. Expect another edition of “The Feet of Fashion Week,” along with fashion and beauty trend reports breaking down what is important to look for and try come spring 2015, as well as some personal style posts regarding what I’m wearing (hint: be prepared to see pieces rom Marimekko, Sorrelli, T.J.Maxx, ShoeDazzle, Keds x Kate Spade New York, Shopbop.com and more!).
Thanks for tuning in for another year of fabulous fashion!

Happy Day 2 of Fashion Week! I decided to mix some mint and cranberry (a very “it” color for fall 2014) today, in clean lines that could be considered polished and sophisticated. I went for the wow factor with my jewels and shoes, which take a little careful consideration when matching shapes and colors.
I spent some time layering and adjusting the two necklaces I wore; each stunners on their own, placed together, they created an outstanding wow factor. Overall, I was REALLY into what I put together, feeling like myself, albeit a bit enhanced for fashion week!
