Millennial pink, which has been described as “the color of now,” has truly taken over every aspects of our lives. It has infiltrated not only the fashion and beauty worlds, but also food, interior design, music, and all of our social media feeds. The color is not actually one sole color; it can range from beige to peach, to a brighter, candy-like pink tone. Entire brands, retail stores, and restaurants have centered their images around the color, further proving that it is here to stay. The trend is said to have truly started a couple of years ago, but has proved able to remain relevant and refreshing season after season. This summer is no exception; designers like Roksanda, Moschino, and Chloé all incorporated the color into their collections. To take advantage of this trend in your own wardrobes and daily routines, be sure to check out Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Body Polish, or Ban.do’s Amigo Circle Bag in Rosé.

[From top to bottom: good lighting, pinked to perfection, on the mauve, and in a blush]
It truly doesn’t get any better than this: a treatment formula infused with nutrients to strengthen and brighten nails while imparting some of essie’s signature colors. It’s the ultimate two-fer, and leave it to essie to think of it! Although the treat love & color line launched in the spring and utilizes efficacious ingredients such as collagen and camellia extract, this month it introduces four new shades in a crème opaqueness with medium coverage. Choose from in the blush (ivory rose), pinked to perfection (carnation pink), good lighting (caramel café au lait), and on the mauve (mocha mauve) to care for your nails while providing a gorgeous color boost. Pick up yours for $10 each at essie.com, fine salons, and beauty destinations nationwide.

[The nine new wild nude collection shades include (from left to right, top to bottom): mooning, here with me, clothing optional; exposed, wild nude, without a stitch; winning streak, skinny dip, and truth or bare]
Available this month, essie churns out nine fantastic new shades that play to the concept of the modern version of neutral shades, including moody purple, dusty blue, and paler than pale grey. The runways have been rife with the concept of skin-matching neutrals the past few seasons when it comes to beauty, and an easy way to play with the trend can of course be via your fingers and toes. Just in time for sandal season, mooning (light shadowy blue with an undertone of black) makes a perfect transition into the summer season, while wild nude (light tan with a wash of white) is guaranteed to nicely compliment sun-kissed skin. As always. each essie shade retails for $9 each, found, for a limited time, at fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide.

[From top to bottom: kimono over, now and zen, maki me happy, playing koi, udon know me, & go go geisha]
Maybe it’s due in part to being obsessed with Japanese culture, but the latest collection from essie, inspired by Tokyo, is a doozy! The color palette of six hues, if you ask me, can best be explained as the new, modern neutrals; a blue, a blush, and some modern orange and berry shades that will look absolutely stunning on fingers and toes alike (actually, I just painted udon know me on my toes). This fall launch of six fabulous shades is available now at essie.com, as well as fine salons and beauty destinations nationwide for $9 each.
