Forget about neutral tones for the colder months, such as your basic black and cream — rich saturated hues inaugurate the fall season with a collection inspired by travels in South America and particularly the Venezuelan islands of Los Roques. Stand-out pieces include those covered in ikat prints, angular sleeves, and touches of metallic.

Erin Fetherston‘s Spring/Summer 2013 collection is the perfect combination of girly and punk. For her ERIN by Erin Fetherston line, the designer worked with Lilght, dreamy fabrics in feminine colors that are perfectly contrasted and balanced with heavily woven textured jacquard fabrics in vibrant hues including indigo, lime, and grenadine. Animal prints and other patterns add additional textures via shimmery metallic silks and chiffon. Sequined beading, ostrich plumes and bejeweled necklines further embellish and beautify the pieces.

San Francisco’s native Erin Fetherston is introducing her new fall 2011 collection, Erin by Erin Fetherston. With the desire and intent to debut a new line that is lower in price, but not in design or quality, the emergence of this new line remains “quintessential of the Erin Fetherston line, but with a new flair,” explains Fetherston. The designer goes on to offer that she was inspired to create something “light, airy, with a celestial palette” and provide her fans and customers with a line just as stunning as her previous collections, yet is easier for the wallet to acquire. On average, dresses run below $350, but are still somehow crafted out of sleek grey, white, and blue silks, rosey-colored chiffons, darkly glistening sequins, and sleek, polished knits.
