eBay.com recently launched eBay.com/Celebrity, a site that allows fans the opportunity to aid celebrities in supporting important causes. A socially-conscious shopping destination, the site is unique in its featuring of all celebrity charity auctions, tickets to events, merchandise related to the participating celebrities and more! eBay has always been the prime way for celebrities to reach out to fans through charity auctions, but now the company has found a way to bring all philanthropic items streamlined into one place.

Support a worthwhile global charity to raise awareness and make a difference! Celebrity participants at launch include: Christina Aguilera, Jeff Bridges, Michael Cooper, Robert Duvall, Katy Perry, Jimmie Johnson, Wladimir Klitschko, Sienna Miller, Hayden Panettiere, Brad Pitt, Troy Polamalu, Tarina Tarantino, and Joe Walsh.

The first round of charity auction items available on eBay Celebrity includes a chance to attend Brad Pitt’s “A Night to Make It Right” gala in New Orleans on March 10th. Consumers can bid on tickets to the event and a chance to meet Brad Pitt as he works to build sustainable homes for those who lost theirs in Hurricane Katrina.

Cause oriented consumers + Celebrities + Commerce = eBay Celebrity, a part of eBay’s Giving Works platform.

Bruno Magli Vintage White Snakeskin Pumps

by fashionpulse

In my teens, probably 75% off my closet was vintage, with my favorite heels being from Bruno Magli. I remember purchasing three pairs of the shoes for about $3 a pair at a local thrift store in Pittsburgh, consisting of slingbacks, peep toes, and regular pumps in the softest leather and coolest patterns. What a wonderful gem I had found, which set my expectations high for future heels to follow. Years later, I still keep an eye out for vintage Bruno Magli pumps, and recently scored these cream snakeskin ones for $28 on eBay.

I am, for the most part, adverse to wearing exotic skins and fur, however will make an exception for these since they are vintage. These most certainly need to be treated carefully, avoiding extreme temperatures, moisture, and overall crushing of the scales. After wearing these all night my feet left imprints on the inside, and completely worn off stoppers on the outside! Those were replaced for only $7, and since then, these have definitely added a chic touch to my evening look – I just have to remember not to wear them on rainy days!

Have a favorite vintage item? Please share!
