As fashion month nears its end, the main statements made from designers this season are becoming increasingly evident. Daring trends and statement pieces have taken over the runways this Milan Fashion Week, and with that comes the use of sheer fabrics. The style is not particularly new, but designers have reinvented the bold look that will surely be everywhere this upcoming fall season. Designers like Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana, and Giorgio Armani all chose to include totally sheer pieces in their collections, each with an individual xtwist.
Alberta Ferretti showed sheer black pieces in her truly feminine collection inspired by Venice, while Arthur Arbesser included layered looks with transparent skirts, inspired by Berlin in the 1980’s. Anna Molinari of Blumarine stuck to the traditional look of the brand, exuding elegance with luxurious furs, chiffon gowns, and floral detailing. She showed sheer detailed dresses with black lace and fur collars.

From our friends at thefind.com:
Leopard print is undeniably having its comeback this season, but I don’t blame some fashionistas for not being fully convinced. After all, since the style had been exiled into “tacky” territory for quite some time, it’s tough to welcome it back to your wardrobe, closet doors wide open, without having at least a little bit of hesitation. Baby steps are key, so if you’ve already graduated from leopard jewelry or a printed clutch and think you’re ready to walk on the wild side with something a bit more statement-making, make way for leopard print cardigans! True, cardigans aren’t exactly what you’d call a “baby step,” considering a print as bold as leopard can easily turn into the focus of your entire outfit, but since cardigans are typically a more conservative silhouette by nature, the combination of the loud print and sophisticated wardrobe staple is a match made in wearable trend heaven! Go pretty and drapey in a long Rebecca Taylor open cardigan with a muted “watercolor” print for a softer take on leopard, or go for something more figure-cinching like this belted wrap cardigan from Forever 21. Opt for a more classic interpretation of the print like this Dolce & Gabbana Cardigan, or mix things up with in a color that’s not too crazy like this green cashmere cardigan by Crumpet!

Don’t get me wrong — I love my bubblegum pink Hello Kitty rain boots (no joke), but I’ll be the first to admit that they’re not the coolest way to stay dry. Rain boots have always been the perfect excuse to go all-out kitschy — whether in bright colors or cutesie patterns — no matter how mismatched they might be with the rest of your outfit. However, considering all the ultra-stylish makeovers the “wellie” has undergone seen this season, it may be time to ditch your current pair and upgrade with one of these on-trend takes on the rain boot!
Boot brand Chooka is known for its variety of prints, and these lacy ones are surprisingly sophisticated… and dare I say sexy? For some pretty sweet takes on the military trend, the laces and buckled harness details of these Tory Burch boots definitely make for a trendier pair than any rubber wellies I’ve seen before, but for something a bit more discreet, these Loeffler Randall desert-boot-inspired rain booties hardly look like rain boots at all! If you’re still a sucker for bright colors, you can still go fun and bold with a chic over-the-knee version of the rain boot, courtesy of Calvin Klein! If you’re not worried about breaking the bank, you could go for my personal favorite — these Dolce & Gabbana sequined boots — to help you shine as you stroll despite the dreary weather!

As we head into fall our natural inclination is to become more muted, somber, and quiet. It’s time to slow things down, get warm, and layer up. But isn’t it lovely to mix things up a bit with a pop of the unexpected? D&G’s adorable Spotted Chiffon Blouses offer the perfect little bit of dash for one’s fall wardrobe.

Finished with a jaunty tie at the neck and beautifully flowing sleeves, these blouses will contribute a big jolt of color where it’s needed most. The version in black with multicolored polka dots will be your favorite go-to item; it’s sweet spots and vibrant colors will instantly lift your spirits no matter what the occasion! Meanwhile, the version in hot pink with black spots brings a bit of 1980s-punk to dark skinny jeans and a leather jacket.
Either way, these blouses should not be passed up!
