Give Your Smackers Some TLC
Sometimes a little extra TLC is in order to get the perfect pout. We’ve all experienced chapped, dry, peeling lips, and it’s certainly no walk in the park, making drinking, eating, and even smiling uncomfortable. Follow the path to lip repair while also taking preventive measures to help curtail the signs of aging with the Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex, $26. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors, the ingredients are a blend of avocado oil and Shea and cocoa seed butters with a patented polypeptide to help restore tissue and minimize contour lines.
I gave the Renewal Lip Complex a whirl in a moment of dire lip need, and it felt just as soothing, healing, and overall incredible as my favorite Italian Frantoio olive oil lip salve. Plus, you won’t overdo it with this product, as just a tiny amount dispenses from the lipstick-shaped applicator. It’s sleek shape and soft metallic hue adds high design to an already exceptional product- thumbs up Dermalogica!

Your Armpits Will Thank You: Dermalogica’s Environmental Control Deodorant
Shaving, sweating, irritation — it’s the cycle that your armpits go through in the summer, and as much as I love a heavy duty antiperspirant/deodorant, it can really clog pores and add to the problem. Give your pits a break from the congestion and abuse with a more gentle, natural approach. I’ve added the Dermalogica Environmental Control Deodorant, $20, into the mix, which has a wonderful unisex fragrance, is aluminum-free, and is perfect for sensitive skin. The largely natural formulation utilizes parsley seed oil to helps reduce irritation and odor (who knew?), while clove flower and hyssop extracts, and coriander fruit oil, also work to cut down funky smells. More natural ingredients such as eucalyptus leaf, lemon peel, rosemary leaf, and tea tree leaf work on keeping bacteria to a minimum.
So go ahead summer humidity, heat and sticky underground sweltering subways — -take your best shot!

Summer Travel Bag Essentials
Quick weekend getaways are part of the summertime fun, and I have a checklist and routine of the items that I generally include, sometimes keeping a pre-packed bag ready to roll for a last-minute trip! Here’s a break down of some reliable summertime go-tos when making a quick escape!

(From left to right): A sturdy bag that can accommodate as much or as little weight as you desire is a must (Liz Claiborne bag); a dress that can work in day and evening and won’t wrinkle is a must (dress by Persifor); a straw hat for the beach or mid-day strolls is important to protect the face and scalp from the sun (hat by Hat Attack); a chic, sleek one-piece bathing suit is easy to wear and pack (Norma Kamali one piece); and shorts with pockets that can be beachwear, workout wear, or sleepwear are extremely helpful (shorts by Puma).
