Dana Lorenz, the founder and designer behind Fenton Fallon (who has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Lucky, Bazaar, and more!) started her collection in 2007 and has received such incredible accolades the past few years, that I was so excited to finally meet her! At the intimate event held last night, online media got to make their own jewelry in Dana’s adorable Freeman’s Alley shop from pieces that she has used in her line! She was on hand to offer help and advice, and I was determined to make something really really cool, and of course, ‘me’! I was elated when she approved of the final product, and all in all, it was an incredibly fun, and creative night. Below, the visual story that was the Camp Fenton Fallon event!
I’ve made some selections – now how do I make all this stuff into a necklace?!?!
Discussing my vision with friends, starting to formulate the ‘look’! The necklace to my right, btw, is a Fenton Fallon original, worn by Jessica Stam at this year’s Costume Gala at the Met!
My buddy Milena of Coco Canal with her finished piece
Sweet Jordana of Clutch22 with her necklace
Wendy of Nitrolicious with her masterpiece!
My completed work! Consisting of about six strands/chains, 20 spikes, and about 1 hour of labor. Dana loved the spikes – what do you think? (And Mom – I made a tamer version for you, don’t worry!)
