Originally from Milan, Charles Philip, along with his design partner, moved to Shanghai a few years back. It was here that the first-ever Charles Philip slipper was designed with a simple pattern inspired by his love of stripes. The most recent, Spring/Summer 2011 collection is inspired by the ease of a soft slipper, and the crispness of fresh, colorful fabrics. Most of the slippers come in the standard stripped pattern, but others are more playful — ranging from floral to solids, and patterns of whimsy. The brand is available in-store at Bloomingdale’s for around $100.
