Growing up, I couldn’t take my eyes off of my mother’s oversized malachite flower vase, whose protruding frame stated its deservedly centerpiece stature on the bureau in the entrance way. The rich striation of color and polished finish only added to its regal, opulent appearance, quietly demanding that an abundance of flowers make its way into as often a s possible.
This lovely, opaque in hue copper carbonate mineral of copper has been around forever, and although its been used as ornamental decoration for thousands of years, I’m getting a very strong trend-forecasting intuition that it is on the verge of having a HUGE fashion moment. Above, are some of my favorite pieces which include the mineral, ranging from a subtle accent of it to a more angular and organic iteration.
