The Show: Lela RoseThe Theme: Clean Shapes + Quirky Geometry
The Color Palette: Light Blue, Pink, Citrine, White
The Collection’s Signature, Standout Look: Lela Rose’s Spring 2014 collection drew inspiration from industrial designer Arne Jacobsen and mid-century modern furniture. Full of geometric shapes and mixed materials such as silk, tweed and jacquard fabrics, the standout look was definitely a voluminous silk top with matching skirt that was painted in a way to look abstract and water stained, yet the floral pattern felt at home, and at once retro and modern in one fell swoop.
The Show: LOVE by Diego Binetti
The Theme: For the Love of Various Countries, People, Scenes and Cultures
The Color Palette: Red, White, Black, Orange, Blue
The Collection’s Signature, Standout Look: Using fabrics such as seersucker and cotton, coupled vast color palette, Binetti panned over various cultures, as well as sensations. A standout look, combining tough with femininity, was a white chiffon off-the-shoulder kaftan with a faded tiger print.
