What a WEEK it has been! TGIF has an all new meaning; are you with me? There was so much going on over the past eight days that I can’t squeeze it all into one post, so stay tuned for more fab fashion and beauty news soon. Otherwise, enjoy the weekend!
A quick rundown of some fashion news:
Alexander Wang for H&Mis garnering a TON of buzz this week, with the apparel and accessories line for both women and men, set to launch in 250 H&M stores worldwide, and online starting November 6th, 2014. Although not much is known yet about it, as far as style, how many pieces, and a price range we can expect to see, you’ll be one of the first to know, as we as we do!
Exciting things are happening over at Banana Republic! The brand has named esteemed designer, Marissa Webb as Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Design, effective April 28th. If you love the Marissa Webb eponymous label, it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, since it was also announced that Banana Republic will join M Webb LLC’s minority investors by investing in the label.
In addition, Roland Mouret for Banana Republic Collection will launch this August, a capsule collection using the brand’s famous Sloan bi-stretch fabric exclusively, which will be available at select Banana Republic locations worldwide and online. Be prepared for sophisticated, body-hugging silhouettes from this master draper, in a lineup of 30 apparel and accessories for women in a range of $49.50 (for a belt) – $165.00 (for a dress). Good news all around!
Belts, bracelets, and key rings get an extra stylish treatment this season at Coach, with the debut of Coach + Philip Crangi collection,a jewelry designer that I’ve always admired, with an ultra cool men’s accessories collection. Although it does say mens, most of the bracelets and key rings certainly feel unisex enough for us to gleefully wear as well, ladies. Priced from $128-$198, these classic pieces will look great for years to come. Shop online at Coach.com or at select Coach stores.
In case you haven’t heard, Riccardo Tisci x Nike became available for purchase as of last Friday. Nike needs no further introduction, and Tisci is the creative director of Givenchy. The three men’s and one women’s basketball Air Force 1 models are made anew under Tisci’s deft hand, and retail for $230-$340. Available at select stores globally, and online at Nike.com, however at the moment, the only thing left in stock is the woman’s boot.
