Equipped with my favorite new maxi piece of the season, the Mara Hoffman Basket Weave Dress, I decided to completely exploit its versatility with a selection of GREAT shoes that I have hardly gotten a chance to wear yet this season! From the ultra-comfy to the super sexy and back again to casual, this dress will fit into a variety of occasions thanks to savvy footwear choices. With about a month left until Labor Day, see what I plan to wear this dress with on a weekly basis!
Let’s cut right to the chase; these Rebecca Minkoff Barista High Heel Sandals (courtesy of ShopBop), are AMAZING! I’ve only worn this once this summer (I know, what is WRONG with me?!?), but will certainly break them in when I pair them with the maxi dress for a little height and sultry factor boost!
These Aerosoles Snowplush Wedges (courtesy of the brand) are a great summer neutral, as they have just a tad of metallic opalescence to meld perfectly with a day or night look. Plush the wedge style offers some extra (and most often needed) support.
At least I wore the Rebecca Minkoff heels once; these Christian Siriano for Payless white, mint, and metal bar heels have NEVER been worn- whoops! They need the perfect silhouette to balance their chunkiniess, and a streamlined maxi dress will just do the trick!
I’m just going to slip these on and zip them up for a carefree footwear day at the office, as the Aerosoles Chlothesline Flats in Tan (courtesy of the brand) will keep me on the M-O-V-E! I like the zip front, no frills take on the gladiator sandal, as it’s starting to feel old, but with a few subtle changes, like new hues and hardware (like this style), it feels at the pinnacle of chic once again.
I’ve been rocking the Converse Shoreline SlipOns (courtesy of Famous Footwear) in moderation this summer, as they are completely starch white, and white sneakers look best when they are, well, white! I even brought them home to Pittsburgh for my wedding, thinking that at the end of the evening they would make the perfect bridal footwear if I get them impeccably clean. None the less; shoes are for wearing- not for staring, so pairing these with the maxi dress makes it the perfect weekend brunch look, as well as versatile enough to run errands in afterward!
