The saying “opposites attract” is certainly true, as a couple can compliment each other in a myriad of ways; it’s a bit like kayaking or riding a tandem bicycle – in the end, you’ve got to be a team together to make it work. Registering for wedding items may prove to be a bit of a challenge when it comes to varying interests, as my husband and I recently discovered after going through the nuptials process this July, but in the end, we found products that we could enjoy together, as well as some that certainly fell under the “his” and “hers” categories. With a $50 Target gift card in hand, I set out to find a great “Be Yourself, Together” pairing; to select two different items that could be registered for, and compliment each other quite nicely.

My inspiration was the Keurig K75 Single Cup Coffee Maker – Platinum,$179,99 (pictured above), with the unified theme of “beverages: daytime necessity, nighttime indulgence;” my hubby gets up extremely early, with most workdays starting by 6am at the latest, so caffeine is an essential part of life. With the Keurig K75, you can make anything from a tiny espresso to a large cup of Joe, as well as both iced and regular hot teas. It’s the perfect pick-me-up to jump start the day, enjoyed at home, or on the go, and save some cash too, since the coffee/tea cups tend to come in at easily under $1 apiece.
So if that’s for the hubby (which I’m sure I will occasionally use), but for me, I picked out an item from one of my favorite Target brands, Threshold, The Threshold Acacia Wine Holder, $24.99, is small-apartment friendly size that can be placed vertically or horizontally, and stacked on top of each other as your collection grows. The teak-looking, natural wood finish has a retro-modern appeal, and will look right at home in a variety of decor settings. Just as Joe’s coffee collection has grown, so has my wine & champagne selections, so having a dedicated, organized home for them is just what I need.
Plus, with these items, there are plenty of add-ons that guests can purchase, on or off the registry, to further enhance the ‘Be Yourself, Together” themed products, such as the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter so that he can use his own coffee, the Caribou or Starbucks Keurig coffee cups, wine bottle stoppers, or wine glasses (I LOVE Riedel glasses, which Target has, luckily at GREAT prices!).
With so many items to choose from, across a bajillion categories, it’s quite easy to Be Yourself, Together at Target. Deciding on other details if the wedding, will hopefully be just as seamless for the two of you!
