Welcome to this week’s Fashion Pulse Flash! I tested out some super cool stuff, and can’t wait to share even more awesomeness with you next week. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!
Goodness gracious, how cool is this limited edition Christopher Kane for NARS Summer 2015 Collection? Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cut it over here! Kane, who is known for assertive bursts of color in his fashion designs has teamed up with NARS to infuse its outstanding beauty product formulations with cool combinations and high-styled appeal. The 10 pieces include a brand new blush and illuminating multiple formula that made its debut in the designer’s spring/summer 2015 runway show, along with four lip glosses, and two eyeshadow palettes. Mezmer Lip Gloss, a sheer neon pink has stolen my heart, but the Quantum Illuminating Le Multiple (a sheer magenta) and Outer Limits Single Eyeshadow (iridescent rose gold) aren’t too far behind.
Shop the Christopher Kane for NARS collection (price range from $26-$39) at NARSCosmetics.com and NARS boutiques on April 15th, or at department and specialty stores starting on May 1st, 2015.
Last Friday morning was a HECTIC one; I had a ton of work to do, plus I had to clean up and get ready for the arrival of my family. Did I mention that I was in desperate need of a good manicure? Luckily, the GlamSquad (now available in New York, LA, and Miami) came to the rescue with a 8:30 am appointment at my apartment, way earlier and more convenient than trying to find and trek to an open salon or spa!
Equipped with a soaking bowl, essie products and polishes, my manicurist Lillie was professional and thorough, taking care of my battered cuticles while prepping my nail beds along the way. Manicurists come with a supply of essie’s most popular colors to choose from, but you can also use your own, like I did (pictured above). No waiting time, individualized attention and vetted nail techs enhance the experience, and no tip or money exchange is necessary, as your card is charged for it all at the time of booking (tips are built into the price). If you are in any of the cities that GlamSquad services or are visiting one of them, I strongly recommend giving them a go – it’s beyond easy and the service is incredible! Also of note is that you can book multiple services, like hair and makeup, as well as for multiple people, so invite a friend over and get ready together, GlamSquad-style, before a big event.
The GlamSquad nail services are $35 for a manicure, $50 for a pedicure, with tip included.
