Essie‘s newest are here! The fall collection of covetable colors is officially in the house! New York City in the autumn, that officially kicks off each season with Fashion Week, served as an inspiration for the collection, and Essie Weingarten, the Global Creative Director for the brand wanted to meld the feeling of being enveloped in a soft, warm, fuzzy sweater into this collection. “I love the idea of creating polish that’s like the proverbial boyfriend sweater — in this case, a blazer borrowed from the boys,” she explains. The aptly named collection, which retails for a very reasonable $8 per bottle, is (from left to right): the lace is on, twin setter set, afterschool boy blazer, for the twill of it vested interest, and cashmere bathrobe. Which hue is your favorite (I can’t decide!!)?
One of my absolute favorite luxury hair care lines, Kérastase has a new collection of couture stylers that create to-die-for texture and hold with micronized polymers for style memory. Before I get too science-y on you, the micronized polymers broken down, basically adheres to each hair’s fiber as best described as a resistant yet stretchable mesh guard that expands to protect the hair while providing UV protection alongside being anti-frizz and anti-humidity.
Broken into two categories (prices per product range are $35-$36), we’ve got the “construct to shape” items (teal bottles), that work with towel-dried hair such as my favorite, the Spray A Porter (pictured; tousled effect/beach texture spray), Lift Vertige (root uplifting gel), and Mousse Bouffante (luxurious volumizing mousse). The second category, “finish to perfect” (purple bottles), is meant to be applied to dry hair, and includes items such as the Powder Bluff (pictured; dry shampoo), Touche Finale (supershine polishing serum), and Laque Couture (micro-mist fixing hairspray in medium hold). As an Aerosoles brand ambassador, I get some pretty great perks, i.e cute, comfy shoes coming my way on the regular! My favorites from the Fall 2013 new AerGO Collection, a line with lightweight, flexible rubber EVA soles, are the Clarks-meets fashion-color hybrid style called the Skip On. It’s definitely a style borrowed from the boys, as well as a technology that is found in MUCH pricier footwear options, like Nike and Cole Haan. Stay tuned for more styles from ME PhAerGO, along with how I styled them!
