Kisses, kisses! Remember when we wished you all a Happy PDA Day, with NIVEA Million Moments of Touch this past June 20th? I hope you partook in the event in your way, in some capacity, and continue to do so! Just in case a refresher is in order, NIVEA’s National PDA Day celebration is part of the year-long Million Moments of Touch Movement, which started last February and to-date, 100,000+ consumers have pledged to kiss, touch and hug more frequently! After conducting a study on human connections and coming to the alarming revelation that we, as a society suffer from “skin hunger” – a desire for more touch and human connection than they currently receive, NIVEA made it their new yearly m.o. With the goal of making our world a more affectionate place through touch (holding hands, kissing, cuddling, etc), now one NIVEA “Touch” happens about every 10 seconds across the country. Pretty cool, huh?
In order to get this jump-started, NIVEA celebrated in 11 cities across the country (Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL; Seattle WA; Austin, TX; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA, Oklahoma City, OK.; NYC, NY; and Los Angeles, CA) via events, games, products, and more. Did you see them in your city? It debuted in my home of New York City, in which couples were invited to Herald Square for a super cute “coffee and a cuddle” themed “morning date,” orchestrated by talk show host Wendy Williams, while Bill and Giuliana Rancic joined in for PDA Day games, followed by a concert by Ne-Yo. Next up, the foursome went to the Grove (pictured at top) in L.A., all on PDA Day, for more celebrations and another concert!
