Most of the east coast has been experiencing an extreme heat wave the past few days, and air-conditioning is the only reprieve from the sweltering climate. Work marches ahead, despite the temperature, and I had a full day of events and running around to do, but foolishly wore new shoes at the outset of the day-MAJOR mistake! With the heat, my feet ballooned and naturally got blisters, cuts, and rub marks almost immediately, so as my gait got slower and slower as time progressed, I knew there was no Band-Aid that could help me stay in the shoes at that point- time for a shoe switch!
Luckily, these little jellies had just arrived, and I anxiously removed the killer shoes and slipped my toesies into what can only be described as akin to a spa-like experience — seriously. Comfortable, soft, with a squishy insole, my feet were instantly soothed. Guess where these cute little jellies are from? CROCS! YES – they are Crocs — the Adrina Flat in Aqua and Celery is $39.99, and features their signature Croslite material on the outside and footbed to aid with circulation and provide a massage-like experience. Honestly, never in my life would I think you’d see an outfit post here about Crocs, but seriously, they saved the day.
I would rather walk a mile in uncomfortable shoes than be comfortable in un-stylish ones, so believe me when I tell you Crocs has got some new styles in that will re-define the way you think about the brand, especially if you just dismiss them as gardening shoes. Besides this style, I’m really digging the A-LeighLeather Wedge, Sexi Sandal, Carlisa Mini Wedge, and Twentie Wedge.
What do you think– would you try a pair of fashion-forward Crocs?
