[My caseable iPhone 6 case, among the birds of paradise in Hawaii]
As our phones are the ultimate extension of ourselves and contain some of our most cherished memories and information, it only makes sense that the case we use to protect serves a dual function for fashion and practicality. I easily look at mine 30 times a day and each time I get a glance of a case that so perfectly reflects my personality and taste, it brings a smile to my face. You can embrace that feeling as well, with a pre-fab or custom design via
caseable.
I started using mine, a Birds of Paradise print, when I was in Hawaii, which blended right in with its natural surroundings among the flora and fauna. Every glance toward my phone reminds me of that incredibly lush, tropical place that I’d love to return to in a heartbeat? Which design would transport you? Choose from dozens of designs in categories ranging from animals and art to films and fantasy. Or create your own for as little as $25, depending on your phone model and case desired.

Trying on makeup? Fun! Returning makeup? Not so much. It seems like most of the time, you have to have a special sense of ESP to figure out what shades may look best on you in the bottle or tube, which, if you don’t guess it right, can be a costly mistake to make. The Plum Perfect app simplifies things by operating as a virtual beauty assistant, using a selfie to suggest shades that will look best with your complexion in less than a minute.
The free service goes on step further with its Girl Seeks Sample feature, the FIRST of its kind to not only use color-matching technology but also offers up samples that you can try for free or as little as $2, with no subscription commitment, so that you can ensure you have the perfect color and product for you before making a purchase. It’s a pretty foolproof way to experiment with new colors and to become introduced to new brands that you’ve never tried before, such as IMAN Cosmetics or the recently launched Jay Manual Beauty line, which is only about one year old on the market. You can also create lists if wishlist items you’d like to have, and request samples that Plum Perfect will work to procure for you. Pretty cool, right? Technology is amazing, and when you combine it with makeup sampling…the pretty possibilities are endless!
The Plum Perfect app requires iOS 8.0 or later., and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Athleta showcases, in my opinion, one of the most colorful, pattern-rich collections to-date for summer 2015, which feels perfectly in line with the propensity for outdoor activities in the warmer months. The hypersonic print is a fresh take on tie-dye, while complimentary tops and sports bras come in a sophisticated neon palette. In recent seasons, the brand has broken away from built-in bras, which has enabled them to add wonderful detailing and ventilation options to bras and tops, visible mainly in the back, and functional for a variety of movements that will get your pulse going.
Swim is a strong category for the season, with super cute and functional bikinis, tankinis, and one-pieces alongside high performance pieces like swim capris and rashguards. And let’s not forget about those coverups! Athleta always has great options that transition perfectly into other occasions, with some favorites for the summer including the mesh pullover, kimmsa tunic, brilliance vest, and aspire ankle pant. See the slideshow above for my top picks from Athleta for summer 2015!

“I didn’t know what to get you kids, so you all got FitBits,” my dad declared on Christmas morning. At first, I was apprehensive to use one, committing to the knowledge and challenges that could lie ahead, and if I wanted to know truly how little sleep I got or the steps, or lack thereof, that I took during the day. To my delight, the FitBit Flex fit relatively seamlessly into my life, thanks to its streamlined design that was altogether inconspicuous in black, especially paired with wintertime long sleeves and a dark, neutral fashion palette. Fitness bands have been hugely popular lately, thanks to the improvements in both technology and design, enhancing the look and functioning of them so that the usage is as effortless as possible.
