I have a soft spot in my heart for Clarks, and when pressed as to the reason why, it’s hard to pin point it exactly, but has a lot to do with the loyalty to its heritage as a brand and style, and the openness to the addition of new styles, while remaining true to its core competency of comfort. What I took in for spring 2016 far exceeded my expectations when it came to the fashion quotient of the brand, but could easily tell that no compromises were made when it comes to ensuring a proper fit and all-day footwear support.
Eye-catching prints, as part of a collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum in London were hard to miss, dressing up ’60s mod-inspired styles, while some of my most favorites for spring were found in a pastel palette, softening the brand’s approach to its take on the menswear trend. With this collection, Clarks has catapulted itself into the category of truly offering something from every one, on any occasion that may deem that wearing shoes is a must!
